About Us
On April 13th 1994, one of the founders of InTime Media, Julian Ellison, pioneered second screen services when he included a web site URL within a TV show for the first time anywhere in the world.
The BBC2 series was called The Net and the idea was such an immediate hit that it brought the JANET academic Internet in the UK to a standstill. Ellison went on to found Red Fig which between 1996 and 2004 similarly pioneered cross media services for all UK terrestrial broadcasters, delivering mass audience participation for shows such as BBC’s Great Britons and ITV’s I’m A Celebrity.
InTime Media represents a realisation of that original 1994 vision, now enabled by the rapid advance of mobile networks and mobile devices of all kinds. The team has been building the Screen2 platform over 5 years, painstakingly trialling aspects of the service with the BBC and key production companies such as Endemol. Sales are headed by CEO Gordon Simpson, a long standing entrepreneur of interactive media service businesses, supported by business development execs in key markets internationally.
The Screen2 development roadmap is driven by its customers: we are always open to suggestions on how best we can help them to provide new revenues and better engage their viewers.
